Teen Advisory Board
Voice your ideas for improved teen services and help plan teen events! The library has a Wii for use in programs now!
The Teen Advisory Board is a club for teenagers in middle and high school. The board assists with children's programming, helps select young adult materials, organizes teen activities, aids in running the Children's Summer Reading Club, and performs other library duties throughout the year. If you wish to join, call 860-345-2204 and ask to speak to Ms. Diane. For grades 7 - 12. |
Customized SAT Prep
The PrepMe SAT preparation course offers 40+ hours of instructional content, practice quizzes, and full length tests. PrepMe's online system will automatically identify your strengths and weaknesses and create a customized week-by-week schedule for you to help you raise your score. PrepMe is a premium online test preparation company founded by graduates of top schools such as Caltech, the University of Chicago, and Stanford. PrepMe has been featured on the front cover of Fortune Small Business, CNN/Money, Business Week and is the test preparation of choice for many schools and districts around the country.
Once you register for the program you have to reauthenticate both the first and every time you wish to use the program by signing in through the library website.

Teen Volunteer Club at the Library -
Read stories to preschoolers! Have fun teaching arts and crafts! Share a special interest with kids younger than you! This group assists with children's programming, helps select young adult materials, organizes teen activities, aids in running the Children's Summer Reading Club, and performs other library duties throughout the year. The group meets periodically. Talk to Miss Diane in the Children's room if you think you want to volunteer for a one time story group or if you want to participate as an ongoing volunteer.
