Come join us for an afternoon of beading! This month's project will be a single or double stranded wire bracelet. Depending on your choice of beads, it can be made for wearing everyday or with more elegant evening attire. We will be using crimping tools to attach crimp beads and clasp, and decorating the bracelet with seed, stone and/or glass beads. Let your imagination loose and design you own jewelry that will make your friends envious. Come see the examples at the library for inspiration. Hope to see you there. Cost for materials is $15.00. Please stop by the Library to register.

"Second Career Volunteer,
A Passionate, Pennywise Approach to Retirement" with Author Barbara Traynor
Thursday, June 21
6:30 to 7:30 PM
When considering retirement, many seniors worry about healthcare costs, health, prescriptions, food, lifestyle, maintaining status quo, and having spendable income while living on Social Security. Barbara Traynor, author, wasn’t focused on these things. She had a plan. Waiting to retire at the age of 65, she sold her condo, and turned her “mystery years of retirement” into an adventure. After receiving a thought provoking email about how many organizations exchange workplace skills for free room and board… she planned an 8,000 mile solo drive excursion to Alaska to volunteer at a small college for a year while living only on her Social Security. Call to register for this great speaker – our number is 860 345-2204.
Avoid disappointment by registering in advance for our programs.
Programs with fewer than the minimum number of registrants will be cancelled.
