Kill-A-Watt Meter Available for Loan

Kill-A-Watt meterThe Kill-A-Watt meter is a small electricity usage monitor.  Simply connect an appliance into the Kill-A-Watt meter and assess the efficiency of the appliance.  The monitor’s display will show the appliance’s electrical consumption by the kilowatt-hour.  You then calculate the electrical expenses for your appliance. 

This device will help you make decisions that can save you money and reduce your electrical consumption.  You may discover that some appliances, even when nominally turned off, are still using quite a bit of power. 

Find the appliances that are energy abusers in your home!  Check out the Kill-A-Watt meter.  You may reserve the meter through the Library’s online catalog at or by calling us at 860-345-2204.

A New Service Offered by BML

AtoZMapsOnline.com is a database of proprietary, royalty-free world, continent, country, and state maps. Included in the 4,000+ maps are: political maps, physical maps, outline maps, population maps, precipitation maps, climate maps, and other thematic maps. Over 100,000 Americans are waiting for a life saving transplant. In Connecticut, nearly 1,000 people are waiting for their second chance at life.  With the national list growing by one person every eleven minutes, and 18 people dying every day… the need for more donors is urgent.

Donate Life Connecticut is dedicated to educating the public about organ and tissue donation and raising awareness about how to register as a donor.  Organ and tissue transplants offer patients a new chance at healthy, pro-ductive, normal lives and return them to their families, friends and communities.
